Snowshoe Cats Frequently Asked Questions - Snowshoe FAQs
Q. How much do Snowshoe Cats Cost?

A: Snowshoes vary in price depending on pattern and if you would like to breed, show or just have one as a pet, prices start from 500- 600. Show neuters are from 500 - 600. Breeding females 700-900 , Breeding males 900- 1200. Please contact me for international prices. Also see Breed Info page

Q: Are Snowshoes good with children and other Cats?

A: Yes they are very social and interactive cats, who adore attention. They are very tolerant with children and are excellent with dogs, cats and various pet animals. Obviously each Cat has his/her own personality. Well socialised kittens will have no trouble adapting and our kittens leave here well balanced and adjusted.

Q: We are at work all day, would it be ok to leave a Snowshoe at home?

A: Snowshoes are very intelligent and can get bored easily and can become desruptive. I strongly advise to get a pair to keep each other company and have someone check on them. Snowshoes cannot handle being left for long periods of time. Snowshoes are very well suited to busy family homes where there is lots happening or someone who can be at home with them all day. In return your Snowshoe will provide entertainment, keep your lap warm and will be a loving companion.

Q: Can I train my snowshoe to not scratch furniture?

A: Yes of course. My kittens will have already had basic training not to scratch furniture, climb curtains and will use their litter tray. Snowshoes can also be taught to walk on a lead, play fetch and some can do agility and clicker training! Our kittens are taught basic manners berfore they leave.

Q: Can I tell my Snowshoe off if he is Naughty?

A: Snowshoes are intelligent and are like children and will push boundaries, especially during the adolescent stage. Simply say NO firmly the first time, 2nd time clap your hands and lean forward with firmer NO and 3rd time a water pistol usually works or banish your Snowshoe to a different room for a few minutes. NEVER hit your cat, but let him know when he crosses boundaries and he will respect you and will make a better pet as like children he will feel safe and secure. Please Note: Snowshoes are very well known for pushing boundaries and can be very persistant at times. Its essential to have manners from the start and stick to it!

Q: Can I send you a picture of my cat and can you tell me if she is a Snowshoe?

A: Having recieved countless emails to identify Snowshoe cats and lack of time on my part. I would suggest to become a member of and they will help you with your questions and pictures. Generally speaking unless your cat has a registration pedigree papers it is not classified as a pedigree snowshoe, however there are foundation cats out there who end up in rescue centers with Snowshoe Origins. Snowshoes are mainly identified by the white feet, blue eyes and interactive personality.

Q: I live internationally Can you help with the arrangements to send my Snowshoe kitten to me?

A: Yes of course. I can ensure your kitten has the appropriate documents and papers and will help you decide the best travel arrangements. I can arrange vaccines, bloodtests, passport, Insurance and courier arrangements.

If what you are looking for isnt on here, please feel free to email me and I will get back to you when I can.
